A guide on how to clean a trumpet.  Your trumpet should be cleaned regularly, don't let anyone tell you otherwise.  Always take your time, you don't want to accidentally damage your instrument. At a minimum clean your trumpet thoroughly three times per year if you play every day.  If play less frequently or rarely, still clean at least once per year and re-grease all the slides, otherwise they may corrode and get stuck.  Trumpets with tighter valve tolerances may need to be cleaned more often to avoid sticky valves.

Because I recognize that I may not carry the trumpet or cornet that you are looking for and I also respect the work of others who sell quality used instruments, here is a link to a page showing other folks who sell quality new and used trumpets and cornets.
